Cornelia Apartment Building: Victorian Elegance at an Affordable Price

Constructed in 1903 Cornelia is a perfect example of Wheeling’s moneyed past. Cornelia’s six apartments are large with over 1,400 square feet of living space and feature high ceilings, hardwood floors, and other lovely details common to Victorian construction.

Each apartment features a large living room, two bedrooms, a dining room, one bathroom, a kitchen/pantry with beautiful hardwood cabinetry, a long hallway, and a back porch. Each apartment has one off-street parking space and ample on-street parking in front of the building.

Elvis is the Building

Next door to Cornelia is “Elvis”.

Elvis was constructed in 1905 with the same attention to details as Cornelia and a similar layout.

Elvis has six large apartments (boasting over 1,500 square feet) with bay windows, a large living room, two bedrooms, a dining room, separate toilet and bath rooms, a kitchen/pantry with beautiful hardwood cabinetry, a long hallway with small entry, and a back porch.

Elvis also has two one-bed room apartments.

Rental Rates

2-bedroom apartments rents range from $625 to $750 per month and include heat, water and trash.

1-bed room apartments range from $475-$550 per month.

Location

Both Elvis and Cornelia are just blocks away from the Centre Market area and within walking distance of Jebbia's Market, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, OVMC, downtown Wheeling and a short drive away from Wheeling Island Racetrack and Resort.

Pets

Most pets are allowed with a pet deposit. Certain breeds of dogs are excluded because of insurance coverage and cannot be allowed.

Rental Requirements

All prospective renters are screened with both a criminal and credit check and a security deposit equal to one month's rent is required.

Must have verifiable income and references.
